The Sons of Veterans Reserve (SVR) is the ceremonial uniformed military component of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW). SVR Units participate in Civil War related ceremonies, parades, living history programs, and re-enactments. We invite you to check the requirement of membership and if you're eligible, we'd love to have you join us.
All members of the Sons of Veterans Reserve are Members or Associates in good standing of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Please consult the SUVCW site for more detailed information on SUVCW membership. SUVCW members may apply for SVR membership on SVR form 5A. Company K, 1st United States Infantry, covers the State of Texas and Louisiana and is part of the 6th Military District of the Sons of Veterans Reserve.
