Camp 1 Meeting Schedule/Details

Camp Meetings and events are held on an approximate bi-monthly basis at various in-person locations and via remote Zoom-only meetings.  Meetings/events are currently scheduled as follows:

  • January 20, 2024 (Saturday) – In-person officer installation at The Gin at Nolan Creek restaurant, 219 S East St, Belton, Texas.  Noon meal and fellowship, followed by installation.
     
  • February 29, 2024 (Thursday 7PM) – Zoom-only Camp meeting, details via email to members.  Interested non-members may contact our Camp Commander for more information.
     
  • May 4, 2024 (Saturday) – In-person meeting in conjunction with the all-day Department Encampment to be held in the Dallas area.  Details of the Encampment are in development.
     
  • May 27, 2024 (Monday) – annual Memorial Day Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. at the G.A.R. Monument in Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Grand Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76164.
     
  • May 27, 2024 (Monday) – an additional, concurrent Memorial Day Ceremony will be conducted in the Temple/Belton area for those of our membership from Bell County and Central Texas.  Details to follow.
     
  • Additional meetings and events are in development for the second half of 2024.  Among these is expected to be the annual Cleaning of Capt. William S. Parmley's gravestone, Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Grand Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76164.
